Scott’s journey as a photographer began in North Carolina, while studying graphic design in college. He had his “Eureka!” moment while observing the 90’s Rolling Stone covers that adorned his apartment walls—and with that, a photography career was born. After photo school and several strenuous, yet rewarding years working as a photo assistant, Scott moved to Los Angeles with his wife and two dogs to begin the next phase of his career as a commercial portrait photographer.
Unique moments, cinematic mood, and graphic composition are all hallmarks of Scott’s distinctive visual style, which have landed him such notable clients as YouTube,The Hollywood Reporter, TLC Network, Christian Louboutin, AdWeek, Taco Bell, Billboard, and Nationwide. His laid-back, personable approach with his subjects allows them to open up in an otherwise tense situation. When he’s not busy photographing interesting people, you can find Scott exploring exciting travel destinations in California and abroad, watching every music documentary available on Netflix, and perfecting the recipe for southern banana pudding.
